SERVICES, WORKSHOPS AND ACTIVITIES 60 YEARS+
Seniors & Retirees
The Cercle des Canadiens Français de Prince George pays particular attention to community seniors and offers them several projects and activities.

SENIOR'S LUNCH
In the form of a potluck, we invite our Francophone and Francophile seniors to meet once a month to chat and laugh in French.
Meetings between elders and young people will be recorded in order to capture the stories delivered by our elders to the children. The topics covered will be varied, between travels, games from our childhood, first loves, etc. The children will ask personal questions to our elders in order to get to know them better and share an unforgettable moment of chatting. These conversations will be recorded and uploaded as a podcast very soon on our website!
PROJECT 4 A
(Activities, Workshops, Seniors, Fun)
This project aims to create according to the requests of our seniors and tailor-made workshops that meet their needs. Between cooking workshops, computer workshops, hiking, talk about sewing and many more!
LES CONSERVES FRANCOPHONES
This project for the year 2023-2024 aims to bring together our Francophone and Francophile seniors around a topical subject: food waste.
This project aims to collect neglected fruits and vegetables from supermarkets in order to give them a second life in the form of preserves. Jams, soups, and many other recipes shared by our elders will give a second life to these products rejected by our overconsumption society. These preserves will then be sold at the local farmer's market and/or redistributed free of charge to those most in need.
