SINCE 1960
Our Story
The Cercle des Canadiens Français was founded in 1960 by a group of Francophones who met regularly to promote their French Canadian language, culture and heritage.
Gradually, in 1976, spaces were rented at Studio d'Art 2880 for activities and gatherings, then in 1987, the association purchased the English school board building which is still the French-speaking community center today, located near Fort George Park. In 1977, the first preschool, Le Coin des Petits, was born. Today, there is an immersion program and a francophone program offered to families.
